Iza Ja Nasrullah Wal Fath is the first ayah of Surah Nasr, and Nasr means help in English. Surah Nasr is the 110th chapter of the Quran and it has only 3 Ayats (Verses). It is also the shortest Surah of the Quran like Surah Inna Ataina Kal Kausar.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ (١) وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا (٢) فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا (٣)

• zaa jaa a nasrul Lahi wal fath

• when Allah’s assistance and triumph arrive.
• And you see a big surge of people converting to Islam.
• Glory and thank your Lord, and ask Him to pardon you; He is always receptive to repentance.

Tafseer Surah Nasr In English Language

The good news foretold that many people would convert to Islam and that Allah would provide His Messenger assistance so that he might take Makkah.

So that many of them, who had before been his foes, would now be his followers and supporters.

And the prophecy came to pass.

Allah directed His Messenger (SAW) to thank his Lord for that, to honor and praise Him, and to ask for His pardon after the divine assistance and victory had occurred.

Concerning the hint, there were in fact two. The first was that as His Messenger Up exalted and thanked his Lord and asked for His pardon, as it is a portion of showing thankfulness, Allah’s backing of this religion would rise and remain.

If you give thanks, I will surely give you more

(Ibraheem 14: 7)

And it actually happened both during and after the reign of the Rightly Guided Caliphs.

Up until the Ummah’s attitude changed and they started acting in a way that was against Allah’s instructions, divine assistance for this Ummah was maintained, and Islam reached success unsurpassed by any other religion.

Then Allah caused them to become divided and disjointed, and the events that followed.

Nonetheless, this Ummah and this religion continue to benefit from the compassion and generosity of Allah in ways that no one could have envisaged and never even occurred to them.

The second suggestion was a warning that the Prophet of Allah (SAW) was about to pass away.

This might be attributed to the virtue of his life, which Allah vowed to uphold.

And it is well known that righteous deeds conclude with supplications for mercy, as in the case of prayer, the Hajj, and other such deeds.

Thus, Allah’s instruction to His Messenger to worship Him and ask for His pardon in this circumstance was a sign that his time was running out.

Therefore may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, let him make ready for his Lord’s arrival, and live out his days to the fullest.

He began to repeat that in his prayer in accordance with the Qur’anic directive.

He frequently bowed and prostrated while saying, “Glory and glory be to you, O Allah; O Allah, pardon me.”
