What Is the Last 2 Ayat of Surah Baqarah?
Surah Al-Baqarah (meaning “The Cow”) is the second surah of the Quran and contains 286 verses. The last two verses of this surah are verse 285 and verse 286.
In Musnad Ahmad it is said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat have been given from the treasure under the throne. They were not given to any prophet before me. (Musnad Ahmad: 151/5: Sahih)
What Are the Benefits of Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat?
When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ascended and reached Sidrat al-Muntahi, which is in the seventh heaven, what ascends to the heaven reaches here and is taken from here, and what descends from above.
It happens that it also reaches here, then it is taken further from here and it was covered with golden locusts, there three things were given to the Holy Prophet.
Five daily prayers, concluding verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and forgiveness of all the sins of the monotheists.

It is in the Musnad that The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (RA): Continue reciting these last two verses of Surah Al-Baqara, I have given them from the treasures under the Throne.

In Ibn Mardawiyyah it is said: We have been given three virtues over people, I have been given these last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah from the treasures under the Throne, which were not given to anyone before me, nor will they be given to anyone after me.

It is in Ibn Mardawiyyah that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says, “I do not know that anyone who knows Islam goes to sleep without reciting Ayat al-Kursi and the Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat, this is the treasure that your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has under the throne. have been given from the treasury.
When Were the Last Two Verses of Surah Baqarah Revealed?
And it is in the hadith of Tirmidhi that: Allah Almighty wrote a book two thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth, from which two verses were revealed and Surah Al-Baqarah was finished. In a house where these verses are recited for three nights, Satan cannot even come near that house.

Imam Tirmidhi calls it poor, but Hakim calls it sahih in his Mustadrak.

ایمان لائے رسول ﷺ اس چیز پر جو نازل کی گئی ان کی جانب ان کے رب کی طرف سے اور مؤمنین بھی (ایمان لائے۔) یہ سب ایمان لائے اللہ پر اس کے فرشتوں پر اس کی کتابوں پر اور اس کے رسولوں پر (یہ کہتے ہیں کہ) ہم اللہ کے رسولوں میں کسی کے درمیان کوئی تفریق نہیں کرتے اور وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے سنا اور اطاعت کی پروردگار ! ہم تیری بخشش مانگتے ہیں اور تیری ہی جانب لوٹ جانا ہے
اللہ تعالیٰ نہیں ذمہ دار ٹھہرائے گا کسی جان کو مگر اس کی وسعت کے مطابق اسی جان کے لیے ہے جو اس نے کمایا اور اسی کے اوپر وبال بنے گا جو اس نے ُ برائی کمائی اے ہمارے ربّ ! ہم سے مؤاخذہ نہ فرمانا اگر ہم بھول جائیں یا ہم سے خطا ہوجائے اور اے رب ہمارے ! ہم پر ویسا بوجھ نہ ڈال جیسا تو نے ان لوگوں پر ڈالا تھا جو ہم سے پہلے تھے اور اے رب ہمارے ! ہم پر وہ بوجھ نہ ڈالنا جس کی ہم میں طاقت نہ ہو اور ہم سے درگزر فرماتا رہ ! اور ہمیں بخشتا رہ ! اور ہم پر رحم فرما تو ہمارا مولا ہے پس ہماری مدد فرما کافروں کے مقابلے میں
Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat in English
Verse 285 reads: “The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], ‘We make no distinction between any of His messengers.’ And they say, ‘We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.'”
This verse emphasizes the belief of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the believers in the oneness of Allah, His angels, His revealed books, and His messengers. It also highlights their submission to the will of Allah and their desire for His forgiveness.
Verse 286 reads: “There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the right path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.”
This verse is often cited to emphasize the freedom of religion and the right to choose one’s own faith. It also highlights the importance of believing in Allah and rejecting false deities or idols (referred to as Taghut in the verse).
