اللہ تعالیٰ کے اسماء الحسنیٰ میں سے ایک اسم الرقیب ہے۔اس کا معنی ہے بہت بڑا نگہبان۔ اس وظیفہ کو آپ خوف و خطر سے رہائی کے لیے کریں۔ اس وظیفہ کا معمول بنانے والا اگر بیوی، بیٹے اور مال پر دم کرے گا تو اس سے تمام آفتوں اور دشمنوں سے بے خوفی نصیب ہوتی ہے۔
اللہ تعالیٰ کی موجودگی اور نگہبانی کا احساس پیدا ہوتا ہے اور دل میں خشیتِ الٰہی پیدا ہوتی ہے جس کی وجہ سے بندہ گناہوں اور اللہ کی نافرمانیوں سے بچ جاتا ہے۔
